Welcome to the the Tropic Research Institutes of Bionomics & Zerotechnics
(TRIBZ GeoCOMPASS Centers)
Our pioneering interdisciplinary research centers are dedicated to studying integrative bionomics and zerotechnics in tropic ecosystems. Bionomics is the study of the interactions between living organisms and their environment, including their ecological, evolutionary, and social dimensions. Zerotechnics, on the other hand, focuses on developing and applying zero-emission technologies and sustainable engineering practices to promote ecological conservation and resource efficiency.
TRIBZ GeoCOMPASS Centers were founded by The GeoCOMPASS Initiative and the IKI-XI YAKU TAN-I Tribal Nation during their 1999 Ratification of the TRIBA del SOL Accords for the Proliferation & Reservation of Indigenous Ethno-cultural Societies & Territories (PRIEST). We align our efforts with the preamble to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and all international and regional human rights treaties and instruments to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

The BioKULTURE4 DeSDEV Protocol is helping integrative environmental stewardship movements, like the IKI-XI YAKU TAN-I Tribal Reserve, invest in action, resilience, and continuity. The Protocol addresses marginalization and poverty challenges while ensuring inclusion, self-governance, and capacity building. Efficient implementation of the four biocultural building blocks, community, cultivation, conservation, and construction, allows DeSDEV projects to manage their environmental footprint and & resources effectively. BioKULTURE4 DeSDEV projects are also improving their socioeconomic conditions while preserving their biocultural heritage and conserving biodiversity.
